What's New in SP11
Estimated Price Flag in Contract Lookup, date-bounded cost object codes, Lean Services attachments in S/4HANA, Parked Invoice support, and Asset as Cost Object – five targeted improvements for tighter Fieldglass–ERP alignment.
Estimated pricing & date-bounded cost objects
Two improvements in SP11 make Contract Lookup significantly more accurate for organisations using estimated pricing and time-limited cost structures.
When a Fieldglass user selects services from the contract lookup, the Estimated Price Flag is now evaluated during the selection process. This supports Fieldglass's built-in feature allowing rate changes on estimated-price contracts – the ERP integration now honours that flag correctly rather than treating all contracts identically.
Start and end dates for cost object codes are now populated in Fieldglass during the cost object assignment. For organisations with time-bounded cost centres, WBS elements, or internal orders, this removes the need for manual date corrections and ensures cost codes are only selectable within their valid period.
- Estimated Price Flag evaluation at selection time
- Start & end date propagation for cost object codes
- Rate change support on estimated-price contracts
Three more features in SP11
Lean Services attachments, parked invoice handling, and fixed asset cost object assignment round out the SP11 release.
Documents attached to Lean Services in Fieldglass are now automatically transferred to the corresponding service entry sheet in S/4HANA. Teams no longer need to upload supporting documents separately in the ERP system – the integration handles it end to end.
Invoices originating from Fieldglass can now be parked in S/4HANA rather than posted immediately. Parked invoices remain open for review, budget checks, or approval before final posting – supporting organisations with pre-posting validation workflows.
Fixed assets can now be assigned directly as cost objects in Fieldglass transactions. This broadens the supported cost object types in the Add-on and covers scenarios where work orders or services need to be capitalised against a specific asset rather than a cost centre or project.
